Vanessa Hudgens Talks Oscars Nervousness

Although it was extremely hard to tell, Vanessa Hudgens recently opened up about how nervous she was before performing at this year’s Oscars. The Academy Awards show took place this past Sunday (February 22) at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, where hundreds of A-list celebrities gathered. Of this, Miss Hudgens said, “I can honestly say that I have never been so nervous.” Despite her jitters, the young “High School Musical” actress did just fine and looked to be having the time of her life as she performed alongside boyfriend, Zac Efron. As for the swirling engagement talk, it seems it is just a rumor as there was no official proposal and Vanessa is not wearing a ring.

Vanessa Hudgens Shops Amidst Wedding Rumors

Squeezing in an afternoon shopping spree, Vanessa Hudgens and gal pal Brittany Snow were spotted out at Fred Segal in West Hollywood on Wednesday (February 25). The “High School Musical” hottie and her female friend toted their Madison bags in-hand as they walked side-by-side, with Vanessa keeping her head down to avoid contact with the following paparazzi. Meanwhile, the afternoon outing comes amidst rumors claiming that Miss Hudgens got a proposal from her co-star beau Zac Efron while the couple was in Japan -with some claiming that their wedding date is set for 2010. “Zac is relieved to be out of the pressure cooker, because Vanessa’s mom has been putting serious heat on him to make an honest woman of her daughter,” a spy dished, although Nessa hasn’t been wearing a ring to add any substance to the wedding talk.

Zac Efron & Danielle Panabaker: Hangin’ at Hugo’s

Catching up on old times, Zac Efron and his friend Danielle Panabaker were spotted grabbing a bite to eat yesterday afternoon (February 24). The “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” hunk looked studly in a black v-neck t-shirt with khaki trousers and white sneakers while the “Friday the 13th” cutie sported a red plaid top with dark wash jeans and black flats. Far from scandal, Zac and Danielle were just catching up on old times, as they both starred in the WB’s “Summerland” back in 2004. Over the weekend, Mr. Efron was spotted hamming it up with his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens onstage at the 81st Annual Academy Awards, hosted by Hugh Jackman.

Vanessa Hudgens Talks New Moon Prospects

She’s just one of the many actors hoping for a shot at the “Twilight” sequel “New Moon.” And in a recent interview with Extra, Vanessa Hudgens talked about her potential role in the vampire series. The “High School Musical” babe is aiming for the part of Leah Clearwater, a disgruntled female werewolf, though she doesn’t know if she’ll get it. “It’s still a rumor; I’m really interested. I think it’s a great project but nothing’s happening as of now.” Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg (who wrote New Moon and Eclipse, the third installment) clarified why nothing has been decided, telling press, “I’m not sure about [final] casting, but I had heard Vanessa Hudgens was going up for the part of Leah. But at the moment, the part of Leah doesn’t happen until the third movie.” And it sounds like Vanessa has done her homework, having already read the entire Stephanie Meyer series. “Yes, love it,” she said. “My sister has read all of the books too.”

Vanessa Hudgens & Zac Efron: Vanity Fair Lovers

Following an enjoyable evening at the 81st Annual Academy Awards, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens decided to drop by a swanky after-party. And the “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” sweethearts looked absolutely fabulous as they arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscar shindig at the Sunset Tower Hotel. Keeping it classic, Mr. Efron donned a basic black tuxedo complete with bowtie, while Vanessa sauntered down the red carpet in a beautiful strapless black dress with flower accents. Earlier in the night, Zac and Vanessa joined Beyonce Knowles, Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried, and Dominic Cooper for a very special performance at the Oscars.

Vanessa Hudgens & Zac Efron: Ocar Lovers

The Disney co-star couple showed up arm-in-arm, ready to take the stage for a song and dance performance alongside host Hugh Jackman and Beyonce Knowles. At this year’s awards show, which is to be hosted by Hugh Jackman, top contenders include Oscar favorites Mickey Rourke, Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz, Heath Ledger and the hit movie “Slumdog Millionaire”.
