Zac Efron: Leaving London

Bringing an end to his promotional stop in foggy London town, Zac Efron was spotted making his way through Heathrow International Airport to catch a departing flight today (March 27). The “Me and Orson Welles” hunk looked like he was ready for some rest as he passed the paparazzi, sporting a black cardigan over a white t-shirt with distressed jeans. A few hours earlier, Zac was over at GMTV to plug his latest film “17 Again” for which he’s been traveling the globe. Prior to that, Mr. Efron graciously greeted some fans that waited patiently outside his Central London hotel, signing autographs and posing for pictures.

Back for another turn on the red carpet, Zac Efron was all smiles at the London premiere of his new movie “17 Again” on Thursday evening (March 26). Held at the Odeon West End, the Disney heartthrob looked studly in a slick grey suit as he waved to fans and posed for pictures alongside guests including Jemma McKenzie Brown. In “17 Again,” Zac plays “a despondent 37-year-old who gets the chance to rewrite his life when he wakes up as a 17-year-old.” “The whole idea of playing a 37-year-old guy as a 17-year-old was just the most exciting prospect for me,” Efron told press of the role. “I was really intrigued by the idea. I’ve always been kind of an old man, so to speak.”

Vanessa Hudgens Reads Scripts & Goes Shopping

Keeping busy while her boyfriend Zac Efron promotes his new movie overseas, Vanessa Hudgens was spotted making her rounds in West Hollywood on Wednesday (March 25). The “High School Musical” actress made her way over to a script reading, then easing off the stress with a retail romp at the Gucci store on Rodeo Drive. Meanwhile, it has just been reported that Miss Hudgens “must answer questions about her endorsement deals from lawyers for a man suing her, claiming she owes him $5 million,” a judge ruled earlier today. Along with being told to answer questions, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Malcolm Mackey also ordered the 20-year-old brunette beauty to “pay Johnny Vieira’s attorneys $1,500 in attorneys’ fees for having to go to court and get the order.”

Zac Efron’s Evening Out in London

Looking a bit worn out from his overseas promotional duties, Zac Efron was spotted making his way around London on Wednesday night (March 25). Following an appearance on the Graham Norton Show, the “High School Musical” hunk took a pit stop at his hotel to use the commode before heading out for a night on the town. In related news, it was also just announced that Zac is taking on a new role in “The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud.” Tough negotiations are still underway, filming is expected to begin in July. Based on the book by Ben Sherwood, Variety reports that the flick is about “a caretaker at a cemetery who manages to have weekly meetings with a younger brother whose accidental death he feels was his fault.”

Vanessa Hudgens: Grocery Gal

Stocking up on some groceries, Vanessa Hudgens was spotted pushing a loaded cart through the parking lot at Ralph’s in Studio City yesterday (March 24). He’s been busy promoting his new flick “17 Again” over in Paris, France. And earlier today (March 25) Zac Efron was spotted arriving at London’s Heathrow International Airport. The “Me and Orson Welles” stud looked a bit worn out as he meandered through the terminal, sporting a light grey sweater, dark grey jeans, and white sneakers along with a pair of aviator sunglasses. And though he passed on the “Footloose” remake, there’s no shortage of work for the “High School Musical” stud- he’s already eyeing a new project. Zac is reportedly in negotiations with New Line Cinemas to star in an adaptation of the novel “The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud,” a film about a cemetery caretaker who communes with his dead brother.

Zac Efron Drops Out of “Footloose”

Sorry to disappoint you Zac Efron fans, but it looks like he will not be partaking in the remake of the 80’s hit, “Footloose.” The updated version was planned to be directed by Kenny Ortega, who directed Zac in all three “High School Musical” productions, but recently, a source tells ET that the tween heartthrob has decided to pull out of the film. While it looks like the film is still in production, the new “Ren McCormack” is yet to be revealed. There’s still no word on whether the targeted 2010 release date is still intact, either.
