He’s been in the Land of the Rising Sun as of late promoting his film “17 Again,” and earlier today (May 16) Zac Efron got a real dose of fan love. The “High School Musical” stud held an exclusive screening of the movie for two hundred lucky fans at the Shinjuku Piccadilly cinema in Tokyo, greeting the crowd with a short address beforehand. And after the screening was over, Efron waved to the massive crowd of fans that were waiting outside who weren’t lucky enough to get a ticket to the event. However, Efron’s security was forced to rush him to a waiting car as the crowd broke through barriers in an attempt to rush Zac and get his autograph.

Vanessa Hudgens: Post-Promotions Flier

Just finished up with her promotional duties, Vanessa Hudgens was spotted catching a flight at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Friday (May 15). Still clad in her stylish pink ensemble, the Disney starlet toted her luggage through the terminal as she readied to embark on yet another flight. As previously reported, Miss Hudgens was front and center at a “Bandslam” event held at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles earlier in the day. The “High School Musical” hottie joined costars Aly Michalka and Gaelan Connell, getting a jumpstart on promotions for their new flick, due out in theaters on August 14th.

Out promoting her upcoming flick, Vanessa Hudgens was front and center at a “Bandslam” event held at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on Friday (May 15). The “High School Musical” hottie joined costars Aly Michalka and Gaelan Connell, with the group posing on the red carpet for photogs covering the event. As for the film, Miss Hudgens told press: “My character is a lot more darker, more introverted [than Gabriella in High School Musical].” The Disney starlet added, “She’s very deadpan throughout the whole thing. [She spells her name] S-A-5-M and the 5 is silent. She’s cool like that, it’s how she rolls.”

Zac Efron: Hello Tokyo

He’s never in one place for very long these days, and earlier today (May 13) Zac Efron was spotted arriving in Tokyo, Japan. The “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” stud reportedly had to stay on his plane for an hour while airport workers inspected the aircraft’s passengers for swine flu. Once he deplaned, Zac was greeted by hundreds of eager fans who were waiting to catch a glimpse of him and hoping to score an autograph. Three of Efron’s more creative fans all wore face masks to prevent them from contracting the swine flu, and each had a letter written on their mask spelling Z-A-C.

It’s no secret that ladies love shoes, and yesterday (May 12) Vanessa Hudgens was spotted expanding her footwear collection on a retail romp. The “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” hottie looked to be thoroughly enjoying herself as she tried on multiple pairs of shoes with her mother at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills. In related news, Vanessa has gone on record as saying she’d be willing to bare all for a movie, if the script was right. She told press, “I will show nudity in a film when the time is right. Right now, I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it, but like I said, when the time’s right, if it’s an amazing movie that I’m really passionate about and that’s what it calls for, then we’ll see.”

It looks like Zac Efron isn’t the only “High School Musical” alum trying to do away with his squeaky clean image - Vanessa Hudgens has also expressed her desire to break free of her good girl persona, and she’s willing to do nude scenes if that’s what it takes. The “Bandslam” babe told press, “I will show nudity in a film when the time is right. Right now, I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it, but like I said, when the time’s right, if it’s an amazing movie that I’m really passionate about and that’s what it calls for, then we’ll see.” Coming up this summer, Miss Hudgens will be working on two brand new films that won’t feature any nudity, but promise to be fun even so.
“Beastly” is said to be a modern-day retelling of the Disney classic “Beauty and the Beast,” while “Sucker Punch!” is the tale of a girl who is institutionalized by her evil stepfather.

They dared me to make out with my … I called him my boyfriend at the time … and they wanted us to make out and I was deathly afraid. I was wearing a retainer and they’re like, ‘You should take your retainer out,’ Actually I chickened out … I never did it. I guess I’m not one for peer pressure.”
