Zac Efron Fields Fan Questions

He’s always been good about relating with his fans, and in a recent internet poll Zac Efron provided candid answers to fan-generated questions. When asked about home ownership surprises, the “High School Musical” stud revealed, “My sprinkler broke the other day, and I spent all day trying to fix it. I just made things worse and now my whole back yard is flooded. And keeping the house clean. It’s like a bigger version of the disaster formerly known as my room.” Efron also offered advice to teens trying to break away from their parents. “I think I put my parents through some grief. When I was 17, I was too demanding of freedom; I wanted an unnecessarily long leash. Don’t push it too hard, because you’re going to need your parents in college when you’re broke!” And as could be expected, Zac charmed his fans once again with his good guy persona. “I’m not really into partying. Don’t get me wrong – I’ve gone to a club. But I’d much rather be with my close friends at home or a concert, or on a trip. I’ll go dancing with my grandma. She likes to cut a rug!”

She was all about supporting boyfriend Zac Efron at the big Los Angeles premiere of “17 Again” last night, and in a recent interview Vanessa Hudgens revealed a few thing most people don’t know about her. The “High School Musical” hottie told Self magazine that she’s uber-concerned about personal safety, hence she carries a Taser at all times. “I keep it for self-defense. I’m moving into a house by myself and it’s scary.” As for her next role, Miss Hudgens hopes for a bit of a departure from the norm. “I’d like to do an action film where I could kick someone’s a**. I want to be strong and empowered.” And when it comes to looking picture-perfect, Vanessa says sometimes she prefers to go without all the primping. “Sometimes I feel prettier without makeup. [I] take it off and [I’m] like, ‘Oh, there I am!’” She continued, “I also have a big, big, big toe. I call it my goat toe.”

Just arrived back home from New York City, Zac Efron made a quick change of clothes before heading out to the star-studded premeire of “17 Again” in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening (April 14). Held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the Disney heartthrob greeted fans upon arrival, then joining up with co-stars Michelle Trachtenberg, Matthew Perry and Leslie Mann for a few photos. Joining in on the fun were big names in entertainment including the Jonas Brothers , Brittany Snow, the Michalka sisters, Samantha Drake, Seth Green and fellow HSMers, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman. Also in attendance was Zac’s “High School Musical” co-star girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, who took a solo run on the red carpet - letting her man tend to his promotional duties.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Zac revealed the secret to keeping his private life out of the public eye - he just uses common sense. “I wasn’t programmed by Disney. It’s common sense. If you’re gonna be drunk with your friends, don’t get wasted at the Chateau Marmont and hook up with some famous chick. It’s not rocket science.”

Following a day of promotional duties, Zac Efron made time for family to cap off his busy day in New York City on Monday (April 13). The “High School Musical” hunk hopped out of a chauffeured SUV, joining his father, David, and brother, Dylan, to see the “Rock of Ages” Broadway musical at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre in Times Square. Aside from family theater time, Efron has been promoting his soon-to-be-released movie “17 Again,” which hits theaters this Friday (April 17). Explaining why he chose to undertake this project, Zac tells GQ magazine: “It’s very transitional, y’know? I didn’t wanna alienate the fans that had been around for so long. The fans, who’ve been around for so many years.”

Enjoying an evening out in the Big Apple, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were spotted paying a visit to the Heartland Brewery in New York City on Saturday (April 11). The “High School Musical” co-star couple was out on the town for the big afterparty following Zac’s “Saturday Night Live” performance earlier in the night. Aside from his SNL gig, Zac recently revealed that he and Miss Hudgens think that “007” stud Daniel Draig is the ultimate Hollywood hottie. Efron explains, “Vanessa thinks Daniel Craig is the hot Hollywood hunk. But I also have a man-crush on Daniel Craig - he’s just so cool. So I’ll let her have that one. She’s also hot for Ryan Gosling. She has a list.”
