Looking her usual adorable self, the “Sucker Punch” sweetheart was headed off to an event at the Century Hotel in Beverly Hills - where she was dropped off by a limo. Meanwhile, it sounds as if rumors that Miss Hudgens was getting Mariah Carey as her motherly co-star in a new comedy flick based upon X-Factor and American Idol are just that - rumors. When asked about teaming up with Vanessa, Mariah replied, “I haven’t heard that. I’m doing a lot at the same time. I’m on tour right now and stuff. There has been a lot of stuff that I’m really excited about!”

Zac Efron Shows Off His New Audi A5

Out rolling around town, Zac Efron was spotted taking a morning drive in Los Angeles, California on Thursday (January 7). The “High School Musical” hunk seemed to be in quite the cheerful mood, taking the top down as he showed off a brand new Audi A5. Coming up next movie-wise, Zac stars alongside Kim Basinger in “The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud” - which hits theaters on June 11, 2010. A synopsis of the film via IMDB tells: “Charlie St. Cloud is a young man overcome by grief at the death of his younger brother. So much so that he takes a job as caretaker of the cemetery in which his brother is buried. Charlie has a special lasting bond with his brother though, as he can see him. Charlie meets up with his brother (Sam) each night to play catch and talk. Then, a girl comes into Charlie’s life and he must choose between keeping a promise he made to Sam, or going after the girl he loves.”

Making the most of a beautiful afternoon, Vanessa Hudgens was spotted out and about in Studio City, California yesterday (January 6). The “High School Musical” babe headed over to the Aroma Coffee & Tea Company to meet up with showbiz sisters Aly and AJ Michalka. And of course, Vanessa was looking uber-cute in a floral printed dress teamed with a grey duster sweater, black stockings and knee high boots. Miss Hudgens has been hard at work on her new film “Sucker Punch” as of late, though it’s not due to hit theaters until March 25th, 2011.

As for growing up, a recent 21-year-old Vanessa tells press, “I started off as a super-shy girl, extremely hesitant. Now I’m really growing into my own person. I can actually take care of myself, which my mom thought would never happen.”

Out for a couples night on the town, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were spotted taking in a late-night session of “Avatar” in Hollywood on Sunday (January 3). The “High School Musical” co-star lovers both showed off their bright smiles, stopping to sign a few autographs as they checked out the box office topping animated flick. The movie date night follows more crazy rumors that Zac and Vanessa were having relationship woes due to the “17 Again” stud’s unwillingness to part ways with his X-Box. An alleged source told: “Vanessa has hardly seen him. He talks more to his friends online while blasting away at aliens or whatever, than to her. Vanessa has even tried joining in but her boredom threshold is a lot shorter than Zac’s. She’s on the verge of saying, ‘It’s either me or the X-Box.’ ” Nonetheless, Mr Efron and Miss Hudgens looked completely smitten with one another on this particular night.
