She’s always up for a snazzy evening out, and last night (March 18) Vanessa Hudgens was spotted at the 2010 ShoWest Awards ceremony. The “High School Musical” babe looked absolutely fabulous in a shimmery gold minidress as she arrived at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel. During the course of the night, Vanessa was presented with the Female Star of Tomorrow Award along with costar Alex Pettyfer who nabbed the Male version of the honor. The legendary entertainment commentator Robin Leach tweeted, “Vanessa Hudgens said she didn’t really talk to boyfriend Zac Efron about winning ShoWest breakthrough star award which he won last year. [She also said] he did tell her to work on her acceptance speech though and she said she’s worked on it, worked on it & worked on it some more.”

Making the trip to Sin City, Vanessa Hudgens was all smiles at the CBS Films luncheon during ShoWest 2010 held at Paris Las Vegas on Friday (March 18). The "Bandslam" beauty meandered about the swanky hotel, posing for pictures and chatting with stars including Neil Patrick Harris, Alex Pettyfer and Dwayne Johnson. Later this evening, Vanessa is set to be honored by ShoWest with the Female Star of Tomorrow award at the Final Night Banquet and Award Ceremony. The visit coincides with Miss Hundgens, Mr Harris and Mr Pettyfer's efforts to introduce their upcoming film, "Beastly," which hits theaters on July 30.

She may have gotten her start as a teeny-bopper Disney starlet, but Vanessa Hudgens isn’t about to be limited by that stereotype. The “High School Musical” hottie told press, “My life is never going to know what page it’s going to turn to.” For example, her new film “Sucker Punch” presented a whole new set of challenges for the “Bandslam” babe. Vanessa explained, "It was the most intense physical training I've ever had in my life. We'd start with three hours of martial arts and break -- and I'd pass out. Then I'd wake up with a Navy SEAL for more. The first day I was carrying 135 pounds -- and I'd pass out again. Tuesdays and Thursdays we were on stages shooting the guns." "It's six movies in one, and you're the same character in each story, but my traits change. In some I'm a follower and unsure about what's going on. Then we go into battle and I turn into a badass. I was blown away by the guns I had to shoot." Meanwhile, Miss Hudgens is gearing up for a big week ahead - as she and her "Beastly" co-star Alex Pettyfer are to be honored as the ShoWest 2010 Female and Male Stars Of Tomorrow. The awards will be presented at a ritzy banquet to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 18.
