It’s already beginning… the countdown to the release of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year.” And Disney is whetting our appetites with the first official trailer. True-to-form, the new trailer seems to inject a newfound ache for HSM fans everywhere, with a teaser that alludes to Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens’ characters (Troy and Gabriella) possibly breaking up!According to press, the new film will follow the Wildcats throughout their senior year as they begin to think about post-high school life. And it promises all of the HSM mainstays that have made the first two installments so lovable - flashy musical numbers, dancing on the basketball court, and of course a duet from Troy and Gabriella.
In one scene Gabriella tells Troy, “I’m a lot better at saying goodbye than you,” to which he responds, “Are you saying goodbye?” Oh the humanity!
Efron told press, “We wanted it to end at East High. There are a lot of questions, everyone wants to know where we leave our futures, and this is a great way to leave the story.”
